Thank you for downloading Too Close® by Green Swan Inc. This product was created to help protect your health and safety from the harmful effects of EMF radiation during cellular phone use. Too Close® is the flagship product in a new line of family safety software produced by Green Swan, Inc. to encourage users to comply with cell phone safety guidelines.
There is much debate in the mobile phone industry about the dangers of radio frequencies and EMF radiation on human health. Mobile phone manufacturers are required to publish cell phone safety guidelines warning users to keep phones at a phone specific distance from the body, but there is little else to help consumers know how to protect themselves from cell phone radiation and its potential harmful effects on health. This is especially true with respect to cell phone risks for children. Green Swan introduces a new niche of family safety software products with the Too Close® application for Android.
Too Close® helps users to reduce the risks of cell phone radiation by issuing an alarm to move the phone to a safer distance away from the head and body. You can customize Too Close® to give you reminders at different intervals and you can select from several alert types according to your preference. The “Always On” feature ensures that Too Close® will be constantly issuing alerts regarding unsafe proximity to you and your loved ones at all times.
Too Close® takes advantage of spatial proximity data with a proprietary algorithm designed to issue an alert any time your cellular phone remains near the head for any period of time. At set intervals, reminders will encourage you to use your speakerphone or a headset (wired or Bluetooth™) instead of risking phone radiation by pressing the phone dangerously against your head or body. The alerts are conveniently suppressed while in headset or speakerphone mode, thereby encouraging safer cell phone use and compliance with SAR proximity guidelines. Too Close®is a convenient and simple software solution providing proximity warning with no additional hardware required. The purpose of Too Close® is to direct a behavioral change toward safer cell phone use by constantly reminding you to avoid the dangers of phone radiation near the head.
Although we would like to release an iOS version of our application, Too Close® is initially available only on Android OS 2.1 or higher.
